The Actors: Doctors and Lawmakers

Has the practice of abortion changed the image of medicine? Can one envisage a personality spilt among doctors? Should we not fear the interference of morality in the scientific domain?
How can doctors be led to subordinate the interest of the individual to that of society? Isn't the practice of abortion going to change the image of lawmakers? How will the attitude of lawmakers who fail to pursue their duty influence political society?
Would legislation liberalizing abortion threaten the separation of powers, and therefore, the democratic nature of our societies?
